Yes, I’ve been quiet! Even my “weekly newsletter” has not be so weekly. Ha!

I’ve been busy traveling, with multiple book tour stops, and a family vacation to London and Paris thrown in there. I also learned from my publisher that A Paris Apartment is officially a National Bestseller! I was shocked to say the least.

Thank you so much to my friends, family, readers, and the awesome booksellers that have worked so hard to get this book in peoples’ hands. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I still can’t believe it.

In other exciting news, and another excuse for being MIA, I recently signed a two-book deal, again with Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin’s Press. Here’s a little blurb from Publishers Weekly’s “notable deals” column. The only problem? They spelled my last name incorrectly. 😉

In a second deal coming out of St. Martin’s, this one from its Thomas Dunne imprint, Laurie Chittenden took world English rights to two more novels by Michelle Gabe. Barbara Poelle at the Irene Goodman Agency represented the author, who wrote the bestseller A Paris Apartment, which Thomas Dunne published in April. The first book in the deal, A Woman in Paris, is about three women from three different generations who are, the publisher said, mysteriously brought together by a book; it is scheduled for spring 2016.

Here’s the link!

The paperback version of A Paris Apartment will come out in June 2015.

So with a manuscript deadline for the new book of 10/3… I’ve been a little buried but in a completely fantastic way.

Also this month the Bulgarian version of A Paris Apartment came out! So buy your copy if you speak Bulgarian.

Tomorrow I’m headed off to Denver. If you live in the area, look for me on the television program Colorado & Company on Tuesday morning and come say hello at the Tattered Cover in LoDo that night at 7pm. I promise a good discussion!

Stay tuned as well for information on the chosen charitable foundation for August!

Have a fantastic week and read something good!
