I was thrilled to be able to donate a nice check to The Chloe Nichols Foundation, which was my chosen foundation for May. One of the many (many, many) things the organization does is provide scholarships for students involved in the creative arts. Well thanks to YOU, my readers, I was able to give enough to fund almost an entire scholarship. So, if you happened to buy A Paris Apartment in May know that you helped a very deserving kid attend college. THANK YOU.
For June, I have selected the Wounded Warrior Project. Their vision is to “foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.” They have three primary goals:
- Raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.
- Help injured service members aid and assist each other.
- Provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
I have been a longtime supporter of this organization because I love what they do to help our servicemen and servicewomen continue to lead happy, productive, and adventurous lives. My brother (a surfer named Brian, just like April’s brother in my book!) has volunteered his time teaching some of our wounded veterans to surf. It truly is a great organization with dedicated volunteers. Please consider supporting WWP even if you’re not planning to purchase A Paris Apartment.
Have a wonderful weekend!
